Lollypop Of Light

Here’s another image from Saturday night. It’s a ride that consists of a giant, spinning beam with a riding apparatus on each end. The beam is covered with lights which created this humongous, multicolored lollypop when it was photographed with an exposure of eight seconds. My aperture was set at F8 and virtual film speed was set to “50” to limit as much “noise” as possible.

I would have liked to have gotten the whole radius in frame, but I was up against a building just to get this perspective. The two multicolored beams behind the circle are a part of a “reverse bungee” riding attraction. I’ll probably be trying more shots with this subject the next time I go to Old Town.

Hi Chad,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I think you found the most boring one of them... LOL

The Newsboys were incredible. If you have a chance to see them on this tour, do so. I think it is one of the best ones I've seen them do so far, and they are always so awesome. Their faith is inspiring and a living witness to us all.

K,
Yes, the Newsboys really do inspire me. I've been able to see them in concert 4 previous times and hope to see them again at "Night of Joy" at Disney this September!

Btw, I love your "eye" with the camera. My son "Fish" grabs mine quite often and I recently posted his "self-portrait". LOL
You can see it on my main blog at
www.holyoakhs.blogspot.com

I am trying to get him interested in Nature pictures, but for now, he is having great fun just playing around.

This screams out Summer. And you scream in April. You know that makes us hate you up here north of the Mason Dixon line? Odd,the swirl makes me hear the 50s rock music that used to reinforce the colors, motion, and grace of those nghts. Great capture Chad.

Chad this is killer. My oldest daughter has ridden the bungee/swing-like thingy. She tells the story of terror and laughter every time we pass Old Town.

I love shots of moving lights like this, even the ubiquitous passing automobile lights type shots, I like.
