Shadow Play part 2

Another image from my archives. This is the first image to be posted twice on this Blog…but with a little twist…a little twist of lime.

I’ve talked about how shadows catch my “photographer’s eye” before, you can read more about that by clicking here, if you missed it. I got this image back out recently and did a selective color treatment to it. This photo was originally captured over a year ago at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton Florida.

What things catch your “photographer’s eye”?

haha! Awesome stuff, Chad! Very cool looking effect. Good stuff lately, too. Hey, if it's cool, I'm going to link you on my blog. Should have done it a while ago.

I don't have a photographer's eye...but I still appreciate the creative photo (and I remember seeing it around these parts before...:-)).

And thanks for rubbing it in re. the profile views. ;-)

Lots of different things capture my eye. But probably the most fascinating to me is the sky. You could photograph it every day, many times a day and it will never be the same twice. What a gift!

Cool choice to leave the lemonade in color, and monochroming everything else. I like it! :-)

Love your twist of lime. the shadows make this such an interesting shot.
What catches my eye? Angles, lines and series of things, and of course shadows. I really like to find quirky things.

Again...I would have taken that! Love it. I am a big fan of shadows with patterns and lines. Very nice Chad! :)

Neat photo, I like the contrast of the dark shadow of the white table, and of course the twist of lime. Lots of things catch my eye, but I like best anything that will hold still - statues are great! They pose real good.

That's nice, the shadow of the table does indeed capture the eye. And the lime - was that by chance a gin and tonic - something to capture the brain?

I love that little touch of color here.

What catches my photographer's eye.

Things along country roads.. barns, cows, fences, mailboxes, winding driveways. Oh and moss, old farm equipment.. guess I'm just a country bumpkin.

Wow - this is great!

What captures my photographic eye?
Colors. Patterns. Beauty in tucked away places.

This is nice... neato effect. Cool photo to start with.

I am hardly someone you would call a "photographer", but I like the unexpected... looking at things in a way you do not normally look... I also appreciate light and shadows...

My daughters are big on photo shop but all my pictures are posted just the way they come off the camera.

I love the tiny effect on the glass, even though the focal point is the table's shadow, I can't help but feel like grabing that glass and giving it a big sip.

This picture tempts me to buy limes!

What catches my photographer’s eye? People, places and things :)

hey dude...everyone has already commented on lime's, shadows, selective coloring and such so I'm going to comment on the clarity of the image. I like how you can "feel" the texture of the bricks and how, though not a focal point, they still are in focus and strong.

I happen to really like brick work on buildings and streets anyway and I think several of your downtown Lakeland photographs really captured the old time brick feel.

A lot of things catch my eye... color, lines and I can never stop photographing butterflies.

Good shadow.

And yes, that was all of Oliver.

Whoa I am so impressed by this shot Chad :) Very nice and now I must go grab a piece of lime hehehe...

Can't think of one photographer shot but I did try my best to have an eye for everything ;)

I like the composition and light/dark effect. This photo reminded me of a photographic series I did of shadows and silhouettes. Keeping my eyes on the ground can lead to inspiration.

Oooh, I love it. I love the green too!

I am a sucker for shadows myself. I love them. Especially one as intricate as this one.

You'll laugh when you see the next photo I plan to post. I promise I had not seen this post of yours when I was working on the photo earlier tonight but the concept (if not the subject matter) is eerily similar!
