I captured this tree’s mysterious shadow while photographing with my cousin, Amy, a few weeks ago in Pennsylvania. She spotted the barn first as a photographic subject, then I spotted the shadow of the tree on the barn. She has a few images similar to this that she may post as well.
...Amy's friend, Sandy, has also posted some images of the barn that she has taken as well. Go give her post a look!

This is really good in black and white.
Was there no tree around?
I love the texture of the barn.
Great B & W. I love barn shots!! This one is great with such detail and the shadow just adds lots!!!
I like the black and white. Might even look good scratched up and in a slight sepia! Nice!
Both yours and Ash's pictures are very good today, I have commented on Ash's about how the knotts make me think of fur with spotted patterns.
I love the B & W;
very impressive shot!
Nice photos. Saw them both and apprecite the barn boards.

I like them both!! Great shots!
i like both yours and Amy's :)
Whoa. You reeely held the tonal range throughout this image. The texture of the wood glows. Yeah, the juxtaposition of shadow with wood s grippingly mysterious, even eerie. I wonder why"
Nice work Chad,

Wooo...a bit spooky when I look at it at night and really nice and tranquil when I look at it during the day kekeke....
That is a great black and white... I love the shadow; it is better than seeing the actual tree. Beautiful!

Good one Chad!
That sure was a fun day!!!
Cool shot...looks like the tree could actually be alive and chase you at any moment.
Absolutly gorgeous. Perfect shadow, wonderful knotty wood.
Hey Chad! Been a while since I've heard from you or that I've been to your site... I just got lost in the web of visiting your family and friends blogs... following one link to another :) Good times. You got some amazing shots. What camerera were you using? Did you have the Digital SLR handy?
Nice work! I'm jealous :) Did you see my lastest work? I captured a phenomenal sunset on Halloween as well as capturing the Halloween moon. All of the pics posted are in raw format. No editing whatsoever.
What a cool shot!
The composition is lovely! I love the subjects and the air of mystery is wonderful!
Well done contrast in this black and white. That's a great subject too.

Love to see the different. nice job.
This makes a wonderful B&W. I've been reading lately about the "Group f/64 from San Francisco, circa 1930. Ansel Adams and a bunch of friends who were like minded in their visions of photography met and had showings together for only two years or so, but their influence was huge.
This looks like that type of thing they were trying to promote, that a person's vision can be taken with a camera and that art can be created without hand painting the result or having them all be "soft focus" as was the prevailing sentiment at the time.
This has a real old-school B&W fine art look to it.
Wow...Great barn, and great shadow!!...really nice capture...very nice in B&W!
