The Chieftain

The hood ornament of a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain gleams as the rays from a Saturday afternoon sun shines through it. I had arrived at Old Town a little earlier than normal that Saturday and was able to utilize the bright sun on this classic automobile.

How's your wound? Was it just a parting love tap?

photowannabe,
I see you saw my last comment in my snake story. Yeah, the wound is doing good. I think it was a parting love tap. It's actually kind of cool that I can say I've been bitten now. Thanks for asking. The Irony and timing is funny since I had just written about never being bitten! He's still a good snake.

Love it! I have an opportunity to go with a local car (mini) club on a tour through wine country here Sunday. I am hoping for some great car shots.... cross your fingers for good weather, and a bit of inspiration, your cars definately make me want to go try and shoot!
Thanks for sharing.

Susan,
Actually that's the front hood. A lot of people think that though when they first see this image.

Hi Chad,
Oh, how this orngment reminds me of my parent's old 1947 Pontiac... We drove around in that fine beast until 1961... Thanks for the memories... Great photography on your blog...
